Our movement is growing fast around the world. We’ve just received very encouraging numbers from a new study by Harris Interactive on dietary habits in France. Results for a survey of one thousand people over the age of 15 came out Feb. 2, 2017.
We can see a definite recent uptick in plant-based choices.
4% of the French are currently vegan (47% of whom for less than 6 months)
5% are vegetarian
6% are flexitarian (37% of whom for less than 6 months)
Overall, the trend is to increase consumption of veggies and fruit, and to ditch animal products:
20% of the French eat more vegetables and fruits than two years ago, 32% eat less meat and 27% drink less milk.
Activists’ campaigns revealing appalling slaughterhouse conditions are working! 44% of all respondents changed their eating habits after finding out about various scandals exposed by French animal rights groups such as L214.
